Been a while since I updated my journal huh? Spring break was last week for me, and it was very much needed. I felt like my brain was going to explode when I finished school the week before last. Spring Break itself was great. I spent every day working on costumes with Malinda, did some goofing around with friends, and spent a little time with the family.

Last weekend was Anime St. Louis, and it was pretty awesome as well. Nearly all of our WHCG group of friends went, and Malinda and I won a couple of awards for our evil Judai and Johan outfits. Malinda will probably give a more detailed summary of the weekend in her journal before long, or at least put up the video logs we took.

So I ended up not getting all that much done on the King and Queen, so this next week is gonna be pretty rough for me. I'm probably going to be skipping a few extra classes to ensure that I finish them both without cutting any corners. I have a couple of last details to add to the King to satisfy my vision of it, and the Queen's about 1/4 complete at this point. I guarantee that there will be photos of both completed the weekend after this one

Today my Philosophy professor pulled a fast one on the class by announcing a pop quiz, and proceeded to hand out scan-trons (bubble sheets) and then handed us the quiz itself, which consisted of a single question: Did April fool you yet?

I didn't manage to get anyone with anything today, but I have a good story from my senior year of highschool. I used to work evenings that year, so I always had to get up at 5am to get ready for school to get good parking and do my homework. So on April 1st I got up at 5 as usual, but before getting ready I ran downstairs, threw open the door to my parents room, and told them that the upstairs toilet was flooding and I couldn't find a plunger. This was very believable because that toilet had recently gotten clogged a couple of times and if anyone's ever had this happen in an upstairs bathroom, you want to stop it quickly before it starts staining the ceiling below. My dad sprang out of bed and was halfway to me with my mom not far behind before I told them it was April fools. They just looked at me for a few seconds, and then started laughing, which is actually more than I expected from them at that hour in the morning xD

Anyone out there have a good April Fools story?

The first two or three people to pm me a screenshot of my page at 75,000 will get their choice of either a fanart, photo-manip, or cosplay shot of me doing something random or goofy. Fanart and photo-manip is open to whatever you want within reason (aka no hentai, yaoi, obscenity, etc ) and cosplay photos are limited to Jack Skellington, Vash, Yubel-Johan, Tristan, or Kurogane (Jack Atlas needs a bit of work at the moment, and the rest of my costumes are at home.
